Irish moss (carrageenan) provides essential electrolyte minerals, including calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. It is a natural source of iodine, which is crucial for thyroid hormone production and overall metabolism. Adequate iodine intake helps prevent conditions related to iodine deficiency, such as thyroid gland swelling (goiter), mental slowness, and fatigue. The iodine in Irish moss is absorbed more gradually and safely than synthetic forms. Additionally, Irish moss may support a balanced pH level in the body and contribute to immune system health.
*Add 1 tsp to smoothie (will act as a thickening agent). You can also add to a bath or face mask to hydrate skin.
